Shopify:
Our Store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes personal information to provide hosting, checkout, account, security, analytics, Shop, Shop Pay and other platform services.
Shopify may also process some information independently for its own consumer services, enhanced features and privacy choices. Shopify’s handling of that information is described in its own Consumer Privacy Policy and Privacy Portal.
Payment providers:
Payment processors, card networks, banks, digital-wallet providers and fraud-screening providers may receive information needed to authorise, process, refund or investigate payments.

We may disclose order and recipient information to:
- fulfilment providers;

- warehouses;
- customs-service providers;

Personal information may be disclosed to actual or prospective purchasers, investors, lenders or advisers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, insolvency or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
At your direction:
We may disclose information where you request, direct or consent to the disclosure.
We do not sell personal information for monetary payment. Some disclosures for personalised advertising may be treated as “sharing”, “targeted advertising” or a similar activity under laws that apply in certain jurisdictions.
7. SHOPIFY AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Shopify provides the technology that powers our Store. Information submitted through the Store is transmitted to and processed by Shopify and relevant third-party applications or service providers.
Shopify may process personal information:
- on our instructions to provide services to our Store; and
- independently in connection with Shopify consumer products or enhanced services.
You can review Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy and manage certain Shopify-specific privacy choices through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
Our Store may contain links, widgets or integrations operated by third parties. We do not control the privacy practices of an independent third-party website or service. You should review the privacy policy of the relevant third party before providing information to it.
8. COOKIES, ANALYTICS AND ONLINE ADVERTISING
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, software development kits, local storage and similar technologies to:
- keep the Store functioning;
- maintain security;
- remember cart and account preferences;
- understand Store traffic and usage;
- measure performance;
- prevent fraud;
- measure advertising conversions; and
- personalise content or advertising where enabled.
These technologies may be:
- strictly necessary for the Store to operate;
- functional;
- analytics or performance-related; or
- advertising-related.
Where available or required, you may manage non-essential technologies using the cookie banner, privacy settings or “Privacy Choices” link displayed on our Store.
You may also adjust browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Store or checkout from working correctly.
Your choices may apply only to the browser or device used. Clearing cookies or using a different browser or device may require you to set your preferences again.
9. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
We may send marketing emails or text messages only where we have consent or are otherwise permitted to do so by applicable law.
Our commercial electronic messages will:
- identify April or APRIL GLOBAL TRADING LTD as the sender;
- include accurate contact information; and
- provide a clear and functional way to unsubscribe.
You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link or instructions in a marketing message, or by contacting us.
We will action a valid electronic-marketing unsubscribe request within the period required by applicable law and, for Australian recipients, ordinarily within five working days.
Opting out of marketing does not prevent us from sending non-promotional communications that are reasonably necessary for an order, payment, account, delivery, safety notice, refund or customer-support request.
10. OVERSEAS DISCLOSURES AND INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING
APRIL GLOBAL TRADING LTD is based in the United Kingdom, and orders are fulfilled and dispatched from China.
We and our service providers may transfer, store, access or process personal information outside Australia.
Overseas recipients are likely to be located in countries including:
- the United Kingdom;
- China;
- the United States;
- Canada; and
- other countries in which Shopify, payment, cloud, analytics, advertising, customer-support, fulfilment or delivery providers operate.
The countries involved may vary depending on the services used, the delivery route, payment method and the location of the relevant provider.
Where required by applicable law, we take reasonable steps designed to ensure that overseas recipients handle personal information consistently with applicable privacy requirements. However, overseas recipients may be subject to different privacy laws, and government or regulatory authorities in those countries may have lawful access to information.
11. DATA QUALITY
We take reasonable steps to keep the personal information we use or disclose accurate, up to date, complete and relevant.
You are responsible for providing accurate order and contact information and for telling us promptly if your:
- name;
- delivery address;
- suburb;
- state or territory;
- postcode;
- email address; or
- telephone number
changes or is incorrect.
Incorrect delivery information may affect our ability to fulfil, redirect, investigate or deliver an order, as explained in our Terms of Service and Returns, Refunds & Order Issues Policy.
12. DATA SECURITY
We take reasonable technical, organisational and administrative steps designed to protect personal information from:
- misuse;
- interference;
- loss;
- unauthorised access;
- unauthorised modification; and
- unauthorised disclosure.
These measures may include access controls, authentication, staff or contractor restrictions, secure service providers, monitoring, backups and encryption where appropriate.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you should not send sensitive or confidential information through an insecure channel.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any Store account password and for notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account access.
13. DATA BREACHES
We will take reasonable steps to contain, assess and respond to a suspected or confirmed data breach.
Where applicable law requires notification, including where the Australian Notifiable Data Breaches scheme applies to us and an eligible data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant regulator as required.
A notification may include:
- our name and contact details;
- a description of the incident;
- the kinds of information involved; and
- recommended steps to reduce the risk of harm.
14. HOW LONG WE KEEP PERSONAL INFORMATION
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required or permitted by law.
Retention periods may depend on:

- legal, tax, accounting and record-keeping requirements;
- fraud prevention and security needs;
- chargeback and payment-dispute periods;
- product-safety, insurance and legal-claim requirements;
- applicable limitation periods; and
- backup and disaster-recovery processes.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it, unless retention is required or permitted by law.
Information may remain in secure backups for a limited period until those backups are overwritten or deleted in accordance with normal retention processes.
15. ACCESS, CORRECTION AND OTHER PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights in relation to your personal information, including the right to:
- request access to personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading information;
- request deletion in circumstances where the law provides that right;
- object to or request restriction of certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing relies on consent;
- receive certain information in a portable format where applicable; and
- opt out of direct marketing or certain personalised advertising.
Australian privacy rights generally include the right to request access to personal information and correction of inaccurate information where the Australian Privacy Principles apply.
To submit a request, email april.official.support@gmail.com and clearly describe the information or action requested.
We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before providing access or making a change. We may also ask an authorised representative to provide evidence of their authority.
We will respond within a reasonable period and aim to respond within 30 days where practicable, or within any period required by applicable law.
We do not charge a fee for making an access or correction request. Where permitted by law, we may charge a reasonable amount for the costs of providing access after informing you in advance.
A request may be refused or limited where permitted or required by law, including where providing access would unreasonably affect another person’s privacy, reveal legally privileged information, prejudice an investigation or create a serious safety risk. If we refuse a request, we will provide reasons where required by law and explain available complaint options.
Some information processed independently by Shopify may need to be requested directly through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
16. PRIVACY COMPLAINTS
If you believe we have mishandled personal information, contact us at:
april.official.support@gmail.com
Please include:
- your name and contact details;
- a description of the privacy concern;
- relevant dates, order numbers or communications; and
- the outcome you are seeking.
We will:
- acknowledge the complaint within a reasonable period;
- investigate the matter;
- request further information where reasonably necessary; and
- provide a response within a reasonable period, ordinarily within 30 days where practicable.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be entitled to complain to a competent privacy regulator.
Where the Australian Privacy Act applies to the matter and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner has jurisdiction, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner after first giving us a reasonable opportunity to respond.
Depending on the law that applies, you may also have a right to complain to another competent regulator, including the United Kingdom Information Commissioner’s Office.
17. CHILDREN’S INFORMATION
The Store is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 16.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 16 without appropriate parental or guardian involvement where required.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate authorisation, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

- applicable law;
- our privacy practices;
- Shopify or other technology services;
- fulfilment or delivery arrangements;

- our business operations.
We will publish the updated Policy on the Store and update the “Last updated” date.
